I'm a relatively new quilter - though I was first introduced to patchwork hexagons by my grandmother nearly 35 years ago. I am firmly in the Modern Quilting camp - I love improvisational piecing and playing with colour, and have begun to experiment with art quilting too as I enjoy all textile art.
I enjoy collaborative work and the ability of fabrics to build community, and this year I have proposed and am running a Quilting Bee at the Greenbelt Festival (Kettering, August Bank Holiday weekend 2016).
I'm also a vicar, historian and writer. I'm based in the North of England, in Durham.
