Lynne Hatwell

I have been quilting since student nurse training days at Great Ormond Street hospital in London back in the early 1970s when Laura Ashley fabrics were all the rage. In the 1980s I owned a little quilt shop, The Quilt Loft, in Tavistock in Devon and taught classes there for several years before returning to my career as a health visitor. Now that I have retired I have time to indulge my passion for quilting once more and I find myself back where I started, paper piecing over hexagons and loving it. I love my machine but I love to hand stitch too, and especially to hand quilt
