Liesbeth Williams

I have lived on Ynys Môn, the Isle of Anglesey, for nearly 40 years. I work part-time with my husband in publishing and exhibition design. I also work as a volunteer for the new Museum and Art Gallery in Bangor, Storiel, documenting and conserving items in the collections.

I began quilting in 1999 when I joined the introduction course for City & Guilds in patchwork and quilting. Through a further two courses, the certificate and diploma, I developed a love of textiles, art and museums. My four children have left home now and this creative practice has given me a new future. Together with a photographer friend I have joined the annual Anglesey Open Studios weeks at Easter to share our work with others.
