Jean Parrott

After completing C&G Parts I and II in Embroidery in the 90's moved on to patchwork because I had a more ready 'market' for quilts amongst the family. Finished making one for everyone last year and now starting on No.2's as reguested. Helped me through the trauma of my husband's stroke in 2008 followed by death in 2010. Now provides a good reason to go on alone, though I am lucky in having my youngest daughter and family living with me.
Since family grew up and left home have been able to attend classes with the Bromley Adult Education College and enjoy personalising whatever happens to be the 'quilt of the year' to suit it's intended recipient. I very much enjoyed the embroidery course but there is a limit to what one can do with the results. Quilts seem to be much more acceptable.
