Doris Dove

I've been a very keen, you could say an addicted, patchworker since the late 1980s. Piecing I love, quilting just needs to be done! Having made well over 150 quilted items (not all large quilts by any means) my emphasis now is to use up my stash although I'll probably not manage that without creating a world record for longevity.
My challenge now is to try to create an interesting and appealing quilt out of an uninspiring collection of stash fabrics, many out of date styles. I admit that does usually necessitate buying and adding a blender. I now give nearly all my quilts (mostly lap/throw size) to charities and the local hospice so as long as they are adequately quilted for the use they are likely to get I don't need to lose sleep over that part of the process .
I am a member of North Hampshire Quilters and Farnham Quilters.
